I am the mom of the two most amazing kids in the world, I know all moms say that, but it’s the truth in my case. I have many passions, although my kids top the list followed in no particualr order by music, photography and politics. I am also an on again off again student. Eventually I hope to complete a PhD in Political Science with a specification in American Politics. Possibly earn my JD as well if it is in the cards.
My children are my life. Without them I would have nothing. I have been blessed with extremely empathetic, kind and compassionate kids. They have their issues as every human does but their positives far outweigh any negatives. I do not know what I did to deserve them, but I thank god everyday for the blessing they are.
I am a music freak, I will listen to just about anything, from Frank Sinatra to Danzig, Loreena McKennitt to Nelly, Greg Laswell to Clint Mansell, it’s all good to me. What I lack in talent I make up for in appreciation. I will however take a pass when it comes to garbage such as gangster rap simply because I don’t consider anyone who refers to a woman as a bitch or a ho to be an artist.
Photography is a fairly new passion, or better yet a revived one. While I don’t have the best equipment, nor the top skills, I more than make up for that with an eye for composition, my passion, and the luck I seem to have in getting “the shot”
The political realm is my passion. I am extremely vocal and opinionated when it comes to my beliefs. I do not affiliate with any predefined party and/or ideology simply because there isn’t one which aligns with even a small majority of my beliefs. I am willing to listen to anyones views as long as they are presented with intelligence and backed by facts and logic. I do not tolerate asshattery and self righteousness. Passion for your beliefs is fine, but do not try to use emotion to sway me, it will not work. If you cannot debate intelligently, do not engage me in discourse, I will verbally bitch slap you and simply walk away.
I respect everyones beliefs and their right to hold true to them, all I ask is for the same respect in return.
